TEACHING AND SUPERVISING
People with whom I had the opportunity to work.
I am very glad I had the opportunity to supervise and provide training to several students and technical staff in the LCABIE-IPREM lab in Anglet. My teaching and supervising activities are listed below.

2015-June:
Isotope ratios and dilution -- lecture
The Formations & Conseil UT2A frequently organizes training sessions for people from other laboratories and companies, offering topics related to the most advanced technical and scientific developments. I gave a lecture (in French) on isotope ratios and dilution named « Rapports et dilution isotopique » integrated in the training session « ICP-MS Niveau II : Formation avancée ». This lecture focused on:
-- common calibration strategies used on ICP-MS;
-- isotope dilution: principles, calculations and advantages for speciation;
-- critical steps;
-- applications.
2014-September and October:
lab classes on organic chemistry (TP chimie organique L1)
The laboratory practical classes alternated between three experimental projects:
-- The aspirin synthesis;
-- The separation of a mixture of 2 organic compounds (aniline and naphthalene);
-- Stereochemistry and chirality.
Students had to write a report about the experiment and comment the results obtained.
2014-May to July:
internship (L3 student): M. Mireaud
« Les composées musqués et leur métabolites – l’effet de l’UV sur la dégradation du galaxolide »
Mireaud worked on the degradation of Galaxolide, a highly used musk in personal care products' industry, by irradiating the molecules with UV.
2014-February to July:
internship (MSc student): M. Saraiva
"Optimization and validation of a QuEChERS method for determination of polycyclic musk fragrances in biological samples."
The results obtained during Saraiva's 4 month stay in France were part of her Master Thesis defended on October 2014 in the Faculty of Sciences and Technology in the New University of Lisbon. Her work was graded 19 (in a 20 scale) and the results are now submitted to Food Chemistry are a Research Paper.
Saraiva's intership was sponsored by the Orque Sudoe Project, click here to know more.
2013-January:
internship (BTS): H. Haurie
Mise au point de méthodes d’analyse par GC-MS pour la quantification de micropolluants.
2012-January:
project Musks (L3 group): M. Faucoulanche, C. Garnier, E. Sansoube
Mise en place d’une méthode d’analyse des musks par couplage chromatographique en phase gazeuse et spectrométrie de masse (GC-MS).
